Social gatherings I send Veris, most do.

My 1:2:1 I ask first if they would like to be verified.

I don’t accept the veri until I have reciprocated either. I think it’s bad practice to display and not reciprocate in a timely fashion.

I don’t display my 1:2:1 meetings..... jealousy breeds contempt here. It’s really not worth stirring the pot!

I think they are lovely - socials as a sort of reminder (like a text saying how lovely it was to meet someone) and the 1 to 1 meets it's similar. I rarely, if ever, publish the latter though.

Personally I don't see the real point in them beyond showing that you're an actual person and that you turned up. Everything else is a matter of opinion.

Some people really hold a lot of value in receiving them and try to gain lots of them, quantity or content is irrelevant essentially.

I like them as a reminder of time spent with a person, especially if they make reference to that time spent, but they're also not the be all and end all and I leave it entirely to the person I have met whether they leave one or not and certainly don't see them as an "I've left you one so you have to leave me one in return" kind of thing.

Too many people seem to place great store in them though and I've heard too many stories of them leading to trouble or people falling out over them to make me wonder if they should rethink the system somehow and maybe make them a simple tick in a box type thing with no names etc
