Too clever for me?

Critically acclaimed and award winning yet i found Black Mirror's Bandersnatch slow, poorly acted and directed and the viewer interaction frustrating. I'm sure it's meant to be clever and on paper it might have seemed like a good idea so am i just being a bit thick?
