Rugby player's body

South Brum/Criydon

Anyone who says my body is "not like the rugby players you see on TV" from here on in is cordially invited to look at the lad who started at tighthead for Tonga today and adjust their expectations accordingly.

The actual defining characteristics of a rugby player's body are a plethora of bruises distributed about the body and at least two stiff joints…

I dont think there's any set type is there?

Forwards tend to be taller and broader, backs tend to be shorter and lighter.

Though you'll always get those that are the exception to the rule, like Jonah Lomu.

Our Norfolk team U18 team were all pretty broad shouldered, but had the full spectrum of stereotypical builds for our respective positions.

I do actually consider myself as someone with a body of a rugby player, but more on the level of a pub team, not professional.

Just saying.
