newport, shrops

I'm low carbing at the moment, overcome the carb flu period (was rough), low and behold my daughter doesn't want/eat her chips this evening...so, muggings here, starts grazing on them!

How has my life resorted to being overly concerned about throwing away 9 chunky chips rather than being in the fat burning zone grrrrrr

Sorry rant over....

Wasn't really even a thread to start a discussion...I just want to moan!!!

I feel your pain. Was at 9500 calories a day last week for an event and trying to go back to less than 3000 is a real effort.

Lol. Last week? Everything. Literally any calorie going.

Mind you I was also cycling 100-120 miles a day.

Oh my days....I would LOVE that diet! My waistline wouldn't!

What was the reason for the extreme carbs?

Thanks my lovelies for lending your ear and allowing me the time to moan...it's just hard to get back into it and the carb flu is hard. It's not good for body to confuse with carbs as energy or fats as energy so this needs to be a lifestyle choice not a diet....I just miss the fun foods occasionally!

The chips were super yummy, vinegar and sea salt...it was a toss between mayo or ketchup tho!!!!

I was in a cycle event from lands end to john o groats. Roughly 1000 miles in 9 days, including heading over the Cairngorms. So burning approx 6500-7000 on the bike a day, plus 2500-3000 for me that I’d need normally.

Mayo ! Toss away the guilt. If we wouldn't give in a little from time to time to little temptations, we would be hardly human;-)
