When you look at a profile and see 'Verified Genuine Profile'....

Is that only from meeting in person, or is it also possible for that to be purely as a result of a phone call or cam session... in which case, how useful is it...?

Another thread got me thinking about this, even though I have been around here a while, it has only just occured to me...!

So, is it worthless then, unless you can see its a meet in person, rather than the other two options?

Really... I didn't realise that either!

So it is not a measure of someones trustworthiness, or reliability, or likelihood of meeting, or necessarily how they look, sound, act etc...

So it is not a measure of someones trustworthiness, or reliability, or likelihood of meeting, or necessarily how they look, sound, act etc..."

I have only verified people can message me, but it includes any kind of verification as long as they have the green tick. Thats why i only take notice of those with meet verifications on their profile

One can no longer be verified by phone, only web cam and meeting in person.

It was changed recently, about a month, may be 2 months ago.

One can tell if one has been verified by photo of him/her/themselves, or by other users, based on the symbols next to the location.

Green circle around a tick is verified by other users, a little flag is verified by photo.

We don't show our veris. Why is neither here nor there..we take them all with a pinch of salt. Has anyone ever displayed a bad one?

if someone has their veris anonymously (we're doing that at the moment), then you can't tell how many or what quality admittedly. If you had a count of how many verifications (like a feedback points systems used on a certain auction site) then you'd know they've either spoke to a few or met a few people in person.

The only trouble then is someone pulling the old 'how many veris is too many veris....' routine and not wanting to meet someone with loads of veris - because somehow they imagine something falsely about that person by the sheer numbers, or finding some fault with 'who' a person has met.

Can't see a solution that suits every angle myself - except the vetting framework that is message em,talk to em, meet em.... and go from there.

Thanks, but I wasn't exactly asking for advice on vetting potential meets as such, more questioning the validity of the Verification system, really x

On the advanced search in browse you can specify that you want them to have been verified by meeting in person

It's something to be used in conjunction with your own common sense and 'gut instinct' I find. Photo Verification just says they are the right sex and number of people (if a couple) rather than that they are a reliable swinger.

Even verification by meet/cam doesn't make them a guaranteed show, just means someone has met them/seen them in cam, not necessarily played at some point in history...but to be fair there isn't much more the site can do to prove someone is genuinely going to show up and play. They're just a tool to help you decide your next step I suppose x
