Recently came across this...i dont see the need to label every type of human behaviour as noone fits neatly into these boxes but it did intrigue me... having multiple partners based on a deeper connection and not enjoying or wanting anything just as a random stranger. Makes it hard to use this site and hard in life in general. Anyone else?

Given that for many, real life is pretty busy with work, kids, family and friends, I think it's pretty unrealistic to think that if you have multiple partners then you will be able to have a deep connection with them all

Are you saying that you are demisexual? I know of a few women on here who are and they manage ok. They chat for a while and get to know the person.

To say its a luxury not available if you have the kids kind of misses my point tbh. I have strong bonds with 2 or 3 women in my life id love to also be sexual but i also would not be looking for a monogomous relationship with any of them. I also wouldnt have fancied them before i knew them. When i first meet someone i can power through sex but its not as good as having a connection that runs deeper lol.

I guess what im saying is whilst sex is just sex i find physical intimacy wothout some emotional intimacy a turn off to a point.

I had not heard of this term before but I researched it. And I think this side of me I’ve suppressed since discovering fab. Embracing polygamous has been a struggle since all my adult life I’ve been monogamous. This answers why I struggle with the emotional side. I know want to fall in love. The men do not.

I don't need a deep connection, but I need some connection or its meh whatever... And i rather stay at home and have a W than a whatever sexy time.

I identify as demisexual. It's not about needing a deep connection just a connection. I've never experienced instant physical attraction. Basically once I'm attracted to their mind it's like a blindfold is lifted and I'm able to appreciate them physically.

Being honest (always a danger here) the sex I have is always with an emotional or intellectual connection, but that’s probably because when I start with the physical attraction they don’t reciprocate!

I never heard this term before. But, I don't like to put myself in a box. I'm more likely to be attracted to the usual list of fetishes, and perhaps some things that have no names. I prefer repeat meets here, and like the idea of building relationship based on shared views about intimacy and sex.. Or even no sex. And as for finding love, oh yes, that beats everything else.

I’m kinda like Shallow Hal without the fatphobia. People start like plain and uninteresting and get stunningly beautiful (or total uggos if they’re horrible) as I get to know them more
