Does your judgement ever get clouded? Do certain people have a hold over you?

For years my ex had such a hold over me. What ever he said I believed and whatever he asked I done.

No I think I’m the opposite. I don’t think it’s a good thing though. I have such a wall in front of me you’d need a sledge hammer to get through it!

I don't know, it's not a situation I've been in really.

I am quite guarded with my feelings though and tend to go with my head not my heart when it comes to areas where that could happen.

Yes I have done in the past. If I like someone then I like to see the best in them and I take them at their word. It can take me a while to realise that I'm being messed around.

Only once. When someone spends a long time slowly chipping away at your view of yourself and the world they do gain a hold over you. It's why they do it. It took me a long time to build myself back up but I got there.

Yes I was emotionally controlled by my ex, I built big walls around my emotions and only with a lot of patience has anyone been able to get through them. I’m pretty guarded emotionally x

I was blind to a girl once and my partner saw through her. It didn’t end well. But I’ve learnt from it

We're the sum of our experiences.

I was once locked into an emotionally abusive relationship that I just put up with because it changed slowly.

It took a friend who I hadn't seen for many years to tell me that she didn't recognise me as the person she knew anymore to shake me out of it.

That was then and this is now though.

I've come out the other side of that a stronger and more self aware person than I was back then, but it's taken time to banish that ghost.
