I’m a lot more laid back - my general feelings towards a lot of stuff is ‘I’m too old for this shit’. Makes for a lot easier life to just let some things go

Definitely wiser and probably harder, I'm less likely to tolerate poor service and bad manners.

I also see through people with more clarity and call them out if they're bulshitting me.

I’m harder in that I don’t suffer fools or numpties, or individuals that think they can walk all over you.

On the other hand, as you get older you realise what is really important in life. It’s the little things you can do for someone that can mean the world of difference to them, just the simple act of listening when they need an ear

A bit of both.

I’m aware a lot more of the importance of certain things and can be quite militant. But as a whole I’d say my demeanour is usually very laid back, relaxed and accepting.

There’s a book called the chimp paradox, which is a phenomenal read. It explains in some detail why your likely to react, or have reacted, in a particular way. It then goes through varying steps to what will help with those changes.

It is something that we will all do throughout life, but I think it’s more events than age that allows the emotional maturity to develop.

I think it's natural to mellow with age, despite all the knocks that life deals you. I'm much more emotionally open now, though to be honest, i'm still struggling with empathy.

I'm a great deal harder in many ways. I've never suffered fools gladly, now I just don't suffer them at all, I'm far more cynical than I was and take absolutely no crap from anyone. However I have empathy and if someone deserves sympathy and understanding (even if nobody else thinks they do) I give it.

I don't think age has to do with it. I was always a softie. Then I had some hard blows (literally) and it made me hate the world. I rebuilt myself but still wouldn't trust. Now I'm soft as anything and I hate how vunerable that makes me

I think I'm a lot softer. Losing several people who have been close to me in the past few years has changed me. I was quite an outspoken gobshite but now I find I'm less that way (or I keep it to myself a lot more ). I've realised that words can really have an impact and it's far better to focus on the positive with people you care about. Life is too short.
