Depends on the situation, asking lots of personal life questions can be creepy, like someone is trying to find out where you live/work/ life story. I was asked recently where I played ( as a musician ) and it was unnerving as I thought to myself 'jesus is he going to turn up' I didnt even want to tell him what city it was.

It would just encourage him to ask more if you keep answering, however, I've also tried ignoring and had a barrage of questions for doing that lol. Neither is foolproof it would seem.
