What do you do?

Other than list my own, I'll try to stay out of this and let you all find each other.

I love history and anthropology, so my TV is usually on BBC4 as background noise.

Love a variety of music and try to have it playing most of the time.

I can draw, paint and potter about doing arty and creative type stuff like writing (only mine seems directed towards forum at the moment). I'm a procrastinating perfectionist about the drawing and art though, sonrarely finish what I start.

Other than that, I don't really do much, inspire me peoples.

For H it's arts & crafts for me it's motorcycles & walking.

it's nice because it means we are not in each others pockets permanently.

Both spend time away from home & each other pursuing our hobbies.

Probably why we are still together after 18yrs & why we can both work from home (last 6yrs) without a crossed word.

H's comment after my big off on Sunday (Bikes a write off) was "You dozy twat, hows the bike?"

This year it was learning to build my log cabin at the bottom of the garden. I had zero experience and have managed the concrete base and woodwork. I’m sat in it now about to watch the football. I prefer it to indoors.

Next I’m going to do something outside based. Either fly fishing or metal detecting as I have secured permission to do both on an estate. Might even try both.

I don't do it in that time every swim, usually around 26 mins, but 24:30 is my PB

Ooh this is such a fun question.

Without a creative outlet I get lost. Mr Cagey and I have some overlapping hobbies that have been a lot of fun. Hobby taxidermy ( ethical, so shh) collecting odd and unusual antiques and researching their history, learning about anything that piques our interest, antique medical and mortuary tools. He builds up animal skeletons, creates beauchene skulls and jewellery, I create different jewellery and odd bits that I am inspired to create, hard to explain exactly but artistic things like creepy miniature scenes, framed art from bones or bits and odd jewellery or pieces out of old doll parts.

And writing is my passion- him not as much with that one, but he’s got motorbikes. - Mrs

I love learning, asking questions. I'm the grown up of the child who's always asking why.

Story telling is my big love. Language, how it's used to weave tales and evoke images and emotions. Differences between communities, cultures, and languages of expressing the same concept. The ways that people explain themselves, through mythology and history (particularly ancient history). Ideas of justice, and how these translate into law.

I like explaining things to people. It's part of the community work I do.

Weight lifting, being able to control my body and make it do certain things.

Recently, makeup as an art form.

I'm interested in many things, but those are areas where I think I'm most competent.

This is exactly why I got in to the paranormal. I encountered something unexplainable that defied logic. It gave me the push I needed to seek answers. I'm not going in to details here but will happily share my experience with anyone who's interested.

The amount of video evidence I have is enough to shake the sceptics to their core. X

It is really interesting, I have a German Shepherd, his diet is a natural one because of his sensitive skin. He always chooses for the herbs which can help with skin conditions.

Aw nice. He is very beautiful. 5 years old, long haired and 56 kg of pure muscle lol.

"I got a couple of horses down here sat in a field just waiting to do something. One of them needs backing you could start from the very beginning like the horse.

I like that idea. I'm no Mongol, I'm not going to live in a symbiotic relationship, but forming a bond from an early stage in horses trust, that's cool. "

There's nothing quite like being there when a foal is born in the early hours of the morning and watching it's first moves and the first time it gets up on to its feet like bambi on ice!!

I have 7 Shetland ponies and the foals are tiny and so damn cute.

Then as they grow they develop their own cheeky personalities.

For me, music is a massive part of my life. I can play several instruments and have played drums in many bands over the last 30 years. I can't stand silence and need to have the radio or something playing pretty much all the time.

Otherwise name it, I’ll ride it.

I love the theatre, both watching and performing. Love to sing, mostly classical choral style. I play the piano, I practise yoga, I like to read crime thrillers when I have the time... I have a new found love of running, but only outdoors. I love being in the open air, observing the changing of the seasons with all my senses (well, maybe not taste!) I have an interest in social history and the small details of life - the ordinary people, not the famous ones.

Just joined a local ladies netball team, all of us haven't played for years, not to be taken seriously! And I like going on bike rides along the coast. I don't have time for much else, work and family have always came first to me. Only just finding some time for myself again the last year or so.

K responding:

I like castles and old stately homes (weird I know but I love walking round them). I'm lucky to live in Cornwall where we have some nice national trust houses and such like. I enjoy learning about history and the way other people lived.

Concerts, I'm usually killing the guys in the pit. I do live o good live concert.

Reading I haven't been reading much lately but I like romantic novels (which is surprising as I'm very Tom boy like).

Baking, again not done any in a long long time but I enjoy it. Being vegan I usually have to make my own cakes and such like anyway.

Football I love watching football.

I have a recent interest in WW2 and enjoy reading about it. I mostly prefer the living and the lifestyle of civilians as opposed to the war. It facsinates me things like rationing and such like. I also like the zero waste and reusing side of things. I do like to learn about the war also.

I wish I was more arty but I'm not

I'm a huge fan of cycling , it keeps me fit , get to see an awful lot of the countryside and stunning parts of the europe . Its like a drug! After a ride you feel mentally refreshed and reinvigorated .. physically tired but rewarding if only we had a more european cycling culture on our shores ..

I like to grow stuff, I'm in a Gardening Club. I like reading, I'm in a Book Club. I like to dance, I go to Line Dancing. I play table tennis in the village hall. I collect vinyl records, Lilliput Lane cottages and crystal. I ride my bicycle and go to the gym to keep fit. I absolutely love to cook and have too many cook books. I have a passion for riding bikes and can legally ride Vespas and Lambrettas as I've recently passed my bike test.

I love sex with strangers too; my naughty hobby.

Fitness wise - I play rugby & have been training martial arts for pretty much most my life. Some reason I just love taking & giving a beating in a cage.

General interest - I spend a lot of time reading history/politics/business news. I trade a lot of stocks frequently something I actually love to because you have to outsmart/out predict everyone else. My nights are often spent doing hours of research for the next trading day.

Physically I love martial arts. Achieved my 4gh dan in TaiJutsu a few years ago. However o have a back condition that means I may have to give up the big throws.. so i will be falling back on my first love - Muay Thai. Also looking at Filipino martial arts too.

Creatively, I love building stuff out of pallets and other recycled materials. I also had a little sideline making lights out of bottles. Sold quite a few.

As far as interests go, I love food and cooking. Love japanese cutlery, and have a growing collection of high carbon knives..

I'm a bit of a loser that doesn't get out that much and pretty much only plays video games. I was much more active as a youngster though when I used to go horseback riding, I cross stitched and I assembled models (airfix variety). Also I was in the scouting movement from the ages of about 5-13 before joining the ATC.

Next I’m going to do something outside based. Either fly fishing or metal detecting as I have secured permission to do both on an estate. Might even try both.

Yes you seem to have luck on your side secureing permission to be able to metal detect on estate land is that ploughed land or elsewhere.

I have heard that his monologue is used as part of air traffic control training, precisely because it's very close to the truth

"Obviously the next time you fly as a passenger you want to find under which seat they've put the black box. Because if that's the only bit they expect to get back, you want to be fastened to it... "
