Instructions on how to find soapy

The name "soapy" is derived from an Irish term that means shoemaker. Look for small men wearing leather shoemaker aprons and cocked hats.

To find a soapy you must look low to the ground. Full grown soapys are about two feet tall.

soapys tend to be grouchy, so look for small men that appear to be very grumpy. They also tend to be quite unfriendly. This is probably because humans are always trying to catch them and claim their gold.

soapys have been around for a very long time, so most of them are very old. Be on the look out for small, grumpy, and old men.

soapyss enjoy their liquor and are frequently intoxicated, so if you see a small, grumpy, old, and d*unk man, he may be soapy.

If you really want to find soapy, you should always listen for the sound of a small hammer tapping. Since soapys are shoemakers, they spend quite a bit of time making shoes and tapping in shoe nails.

soapy may make shoes during the day, but during the night they really like to have a good time. soapy has been know to harness animals and ride them around during the night, so if you see a dog, goat, sheep, or chicken running around at night, check to see if there is soapy on its back

Strangely enough, I have friends I have lost touch with but it doesn't stop me chatting with other mutual friends about what they might be up to or suchlike. There are clubs I don't frequent these days but I know old friends still ask after me and have a giggle about me...and I think that's rather nice.

I have no doubt the guy in question was a great guy and well liked on here. I liked his posts also but the fact remains that he chose to leave and thats that. Paddy seemed like a great guy also with a cracking sense of humour. I wont loose any sleep over it tho as although I really liked his posts I did not no him personaly and have never met him. He also it seems may have chosen to leave to take a break and get on with his life as he chooses. Thats life im afraid folks lol just deal with it as im sorry to say but the world does not revo;ve around this site and these forums just cos some of you may or may not have anything else to do all day every day. Sadly not every one else is the same.

Why do people say sorry for causing offence... and then deliberately go on to cause offence?

There are things that you don't know about this situation so be very careful when you start spewing on about things that you THINK you know what you're talking about. The world isn't black & white and whilst you are correct that you have every right to post on this thread or any other, sensitivity and basic human compassion tells most people what they should say, who they should say it to and when.

You do NOT know all the facts here. Let that sentence guide you in your future posts.

Just before I maybe get banned for going against the grain and dareing not to agree with all n sundry and having an opinion of my own on here. Please allow me to say this yeah. The forums on here are for me just abit of fun. I have a professional life outside of this site work wise and I also have a good life that keeps me active and very busy. The forums for me are just abit of fun to have a laugh on thats all. Ok so some people may or may not like me but you do not no me personaly so dont be to quick and eager to judge me folks just cos I may not see eye to eye to you on this and fit into the clique.

There are some good people on here and some nice folks who at times choose to leave site for there own reasons. At the end of the day it is there choice aint it. My opinions above were not meant in any way to be harmful or hurtful to any of you at all in any way shape or form. I was just staing my thoughts and opinion in general to this matter of people leaving site by there own choice. If I have offended any one then I am sorry as I never meant to do so and was just giving my opinion on a public forum of which I believe I am entitled to do so.

If people dont like me then hey thats fine its not the end of the world for me as we dont no each other do we lol. As I said before, there are things about this particular situation that you are not aware of and your comments thus far, however expressive of your free will to say them, are NOT helping. I'm all for free speech but it comes with a compromise, and that compromise is to consider the feelings of others before speaking.

WTF? this thread started off as a tongue in cheek happy thread, not a 'memorial' one as some may have said.

It's obvious that everyone has their own opinion on it, but what's not so obvious is that some people have the tact and diplomacy to get their individual point across without the need to insult.

facts or not facts if they r how u see them they r opnions which u r quite rite u r entitled to what u r not entilted to do is tell others how to feel or think about anything and as u quite rightly said it is a public forum so you may not like what is posted and u have the right to comment on that but you do not have the right to state that you are just stating facts as they are in fact your opnion and unless you can pass laws your opnion means jack shit to put it bluntly for u but hey we all have them and all thing ours is right thats what makes a debate x

But can I just point out one thing please?

Paddy's original post, was NOT a go at Soapy, or any of US - it was actually a genuine worry that Soapy 'might' not like the attention.

I know I don't have any right to speak for him... but I know this was the case.

And I'm pretty pissed of and sad that his post has given what 'somebody' saw as an opportunity to behave like a twat.

I hope this thread gets shut down...it's f'ckn depressing.

I don't 'spend all day on forum'

I don't consider myself part of a clique

i didnt even realise there was one?

I loved soapys posts, and would have loved to meet him in person. And yes dare i say it, i miss the little fella on here.

oh and ps, if there is a thread that either bores me or annoys me, i just shuffle on by and dont read em!!!

Perhaps other peeps need to take this advice on board and not ruin what started as a sweet positive funny thread!!
