There is no such thing as coincidence. Coincidence is a mathematical term used to describe 2 angles that coincide with each other meaning they fit together perfectly. So we take a term that means 2 things that fit together perfectly and Interpret it to mean 2 things that fit together accidentally.

Things can fit perfectly accidentally, but is it an accident or is it design.

"And what’s your angle?"

I prefer them acute. It's easier to judge than obtuse

Exactly you picked two random angles, and they fit together perfect, and you said "what a coincidence".

Then when you were out in the pub a man points at your girlfriend and says "I'm fucking that girl", and you say "Oh what a coincidence".

Well no, it’s actually the use of the word “incidence” (used to describe an event, sometimes undesirable) paired with the prefix “co” (meaning a pair). Hence a pair of events

Hmm, I'm not sure if that is entirely correct as its scope exceeds mathematics.

That's kind of what I wanted to say but struggled to find the words.
