Have you ever said hi or dropped a hint to anyone that you've seen in public on Fab?

I know there are pros & cons, rights & wrongs in doing so.

I am just curious as I recently spotted a couple that I recognised from here. I didn't approach them but did send them a friend message to say hi from my puter when I was at home.

I wouldn't ever mention it in person but I don't see the harm in messaging them like you did, especially if you match their preferences.

Just don't be creepy about it.

Yeah I bumped into someone that I had previously met in town once, we ended up going for a drink or two.

I wouldn't approach someone I'd not met though if recognised them from their photos.

I believe in discretion. I'm single, so in theory can do as I please, but don't want everyone knowing my business. I feel you did the right thing, contacting them on here.

Unless it was someone I knew well enough to know they wouldn't be freaked out by it I wouldn't say anything either publically, or behind the closed doors of Fab - this life and real life aren't necessarily meant to cross over and if I didn't know for sure that the people I'd seen were open to the idea of having been "spotted" I'd not feel it right to make them feel awkward and wonder who was watching them the next time they were out and about doing the weekly shop or whatever.

I recently saw someone I'd met in a club a couple of years ago, doing her weekly shop in Tesco, and just acknowledged the fact in my own head and carried on with my shopping.

Swinging rules are absolute discretion. Was I was in a supermarket and someone from a site shouted oi ...... your from ...... also started stalking. So again absolute discretion is the first rule.

I had a message off my old school teacher with graphic pictures....I didn't reply and blocked him....I've seen him in town a few times but I would never approach him or tell him I know he's on fab....discretion is key here and even if you don't like someone or don't like what there doing you still value there privacy x

Tricky one and, as someone else has said, you need to be sure of how the other person / people will react

I know one person off here who I see regularly IRL, but I've known them since school. We both know the other is on here and talk about mutual experiences and disappointments

I've also seen a couple on here that I know but I haven't and wouldn't say anything to them about it

I've served quite a few local fabbers at work, there's always that knowing look but so far only one person has mentioned fab and that was on a nudist beach! Though I did chuckle when a took a customer's email and it was their fab name

Wouldn't it be good to contact them even if you didn't match their preferences though? It another peg in the networking board and who knows, their best mate(s) might be your best meet ever.

Yes and I think she knew That recognized her she gave me a cheeky wink and a smile I thought about chatting here up but we walked past each other and she was half way down the street as we both looked back

I work in public transport and I’ve probably seen loads of people who are on here just not recognised them clothed

I suppose the other question that could be asked is would you want someone who recognised you off here to discreetly say hi?

I wouldn't say in the street but via here as ling as you disclose who you are from the start with face pics.

I've had mail from anon profiles saying a name they think is mine. They are wrong but that is very creepy

Ive had parents of my children in class on fab.(Im their teacher) Needless to say they were blocked straight away. Also bumped into the police officer that joined us in an afternoon of fun ;p We just said hello and walked away smiling.

From our perspective the two are completely separate and should be kept that that way. The only exception would be if you were friends outside of the scene as well as in . Privacy is paramount as far as we are concerned. Fight club rules apply lol

End of the day there are no actual swingers rules.

There is common sense, courtesy and politeness.

As an adult site one would expect fellow adults to behave in the same way if an encounter arises, in the real world.

If they're with company they're ignored, but if alone possibly an acknowledgement Wether a smile, nod or wink, if you've actually met then a hello..

I’ve been recognised loads in my normal life and normally just get a message saying so

However , a guy came up to me in the gym whilst I was on the treadmill and very loudly started talking about fab etc which I was not happy about and another in Tesco whilst shopping which was a bit embarrassing to name a couple of times

Don’t mind a message to say I’ve been spotted but not ok when I’m with any of my teenage kids !
