What flowers does she like?

Does she suffer from hayfever and hate flowers?

Best way to surprise her is to hide in her bin and leap out screaming when she walks past

Personally, I don't like cut flowers - I much prefer to see them growing outside where they belong.

But to answer your question, sunflowers are my favourite flower.

So imagine she has hay fever. Are flowers a complete no, no ?

If I tried to get in her bin, I would probably never get myself out

sunflowers make a bit of a statement in a room, some lillies have a really strong smell and their pollen stains, chrysanths last a long time as do carnations. Roses are nice but in my opinion show lack of imagination.

I'd stay away from red roses if it's the first time you've sent her flowers. Too Valentinesy.

It depends what time of year it is in spring I like tulips and daffodils.

My favourite flower is an alium but it's a shame to cut them.

Cool. Get back to me in daffodil season.

You’ve put it on the internet, that’s legally binding.

Have a look at Bloom & Wild - you can normally find a discount voucher floating about with a quick search and they do beautiful seasonal flower bouquets.

Somewhere In The Ether…

Top tip: It’s the thought that really counts ultimately.

.....so save on your pennies and procure some from your neighbours garden (they’ll probably never even notice that one of their hanging baskets have gone missing anyway)

Have a look at the meaning of flowers, google it, it's a thing, especially roses. Different colours denote different things.

It even better, ask Her which her favourite is? And send good quality ones x

Everyone prefers something different. You can get what someone likes or something that expresses and reflects the person gifting.

I'd be happy with most or especially with flowers individually picked from your own garden.

No mixed bunches from a garage though.

It depends on many factors. My brother suffers badly, a bunch of flowers in the house would be torture to him.

Pop into a local florist pick some nice arrangement, if local then they will handle delivery, if not then they will use the florist mafia to get them delivered by a local florist.

Still think the bin / screaming would get more of a surprise though

If you don’t know what kind are her favourite, if you know her favourite colour, you can ask a florist for an arrangement based on a particular colour scheme

Always go for British grown to save airmiles and you get something with character not just what survives plane journeys better. Google Cornish Cut Flowers, tonnes or companies come up. If she gets hayfever maybe something mainly foliage base would suit. I love flowers but get desperately sad for the 'mass produced' type of bunches

Sweet peas would be my fave though.

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

I wrote a poem about flowers a few years back and dedicated it to all the ladies of the forum I was a member of.

Here it us, and I dedicate it to the fine ladies of FAB:

Roses And Violets

Although some roses may be red

They come in many hues

And violets come in many shades

But I've yet to see one blue

Of all the flowers in the world

I have yet to view

A flower that is as pretty

And as beautiful as you
