You can't but you can be added to both. You can add anyone you want to your hotlist but friend requests have to be accepted by the other person x

There will be some reason on their part. I just see it as saving time. If they unfriend me it stops me messaging again unnecessarily x

That too... Although I do cull my friend's list from time to time and remove people I haven't spoken to in a long time (usually they haven't been online in months). My friend list is quite short... People I have met and kept in touch with and am likely to see again, and 2 people I haven't met but enjoy chatting with regularly. It's always nice to see someone come back though and get in touch again

My friends are people I chat to on a regular basis or have met. I don’t have many. I do like becoming friends with someone on my hotlist though
