Somewhere near here

Not for me, mostly because those I know who are those type are vain, and I can’t deal with vain people. Very stereotypical I know, and I know not all are like it.

However, to me, I generally don’t care what a guy looks like, I prefer the connection, intelligence etc

"Some do. Other bodybuilders, for a start."

They had a program about the lengths some guys will go to with there bodybuilding. This guy was doing a strip show with a few other bodybuilder types and there were women all over them.

When the presenter asked him if he liked the attention from the women he said he wasn’t fussed and what he really wanted was complements from the other bodybuilders as they had great bodies and understood what it took.

Bloke was totally straight as well.

I would agree that the people who like bodybuilder bodies the most are other bodybuilders. None of whom seem to think it strange or in any way bisexual to ogle other guys.

I'd suggest very stereotypical, and not demonstrative of intelligence

I think you may find those who enjoy shaping their bodies cross the entire spectrum of human personality types

So some non bodybuilders are vain , and so are some bodybuilders

You directly implied above you do not think the "group "bb intelligent , that could be considered, condescending and insulting

It is genuinely quite weird but I think most of us do it , inspiration and admiration I guess , same as many enjoy watching sport , there is a crux though and that's empathy

Same with weight loss we who have done it have an empathically driven respect for those who have endured or enjoy ed the same emotions xx

There was a fairly scientific study done and male body type that women found most attractive was the look of Brad Pitt in Fight Club.

That shredded and fit but not to big look came out tops and beat everything else by a fair old margin.

Shame really as I am getting really good at rocking that slightly past your best look. LOL

It depends on the level of extremity for me.. I can appreciate the work put in, but you can also see when funky supplementation has taken place.

A lot of guys take them as a quick fix without diet or training being on point first, and end up looking ridiculous. It is also more prevalent among these types (did see a study somewhere) that they also do more cocaine when out and about. So they are more aggressive from the artificial testosterone, and paranoid from the powders.. great combo.

I also know guys who didn't cycle correctly, and while having a raging horn, couldn't perform without viagra. Very ironic as they had built themselves up to pull women...

But I can appreciate a decent male physique.. having been in and out of gyms for years I know the dedication to a goal. It's just mine are different.

I did read an article by an editor for mens health mag. He said, never date a guy with perfect abs. He will love his abs more than he loves you, his children, his dog.. when you think he is telling you that you look amazing, he is talking to his abs. When you think he has great stamina, he is just distracted by watching his abs flexing..

sore I could probably live with but the wall collapsing between the anal and vaginal canal allowing you to disperse your seed from one to other now that's a whole different story..and I'm not even sure it would work!

It was just observations from several years of editing the magazine and observing the relationships the cover models had with themselves and those around them.. it was actually pretty neutral. That was just the bit that stuck out in my mind.

I suppose it's just a mirror image of a guy being in a relationship with a female Instagram model, where her life is devoted to herself and her image..

Cant think of anything worse in a relationship like that. So unequal..

I work in sport and have to add that anyone that is dedicated to their chosen sport becomes consumed or addicted from running to anything lol so that's not unusual though what is more unusual (& I have no idea about testing for those who compete .. note to self must find out) but there is a very high usage of "chemical additives" amongst bodybuilders (plenty of actual research for those that love Google) which never is a good thing

Personally I don't find the look attractive once a person has gone beyond the toned fit look but admire the hardwork and dedication put in.

What utter bollocks. Does this also mean curvy or larger people are lazy kebab munchers? Exactly NO.

I workout as ive always been 9stone up untill 2 year ago, i still see a 8 stone scrawny lad looking back in the mirror its only now my body confidence is growing. Up until around a year ago i wouldnt wear a t shirt in public. The gym, goals in the gym help with my mental hoops and low points i encounter with day to day life.

when I say the average Joe..I'm trying to say someone not competing or a model on a magazine cover. I haven't found those I've talked to, to be self obsessed. Sure they are into what they do but don't have an attitude about it.

I do, I like a big back, arms and legs, I'm not a small woman so do like to feel small in someones arms.

But not a fan of those that take it to extreme.

My only concern would be my own short comings.
