Somewhere In The Ether…

What was the last thing you lent to a scrounger - I mean, someone?

Did you get it back? (Bloody scroungers!)

In future suggest that they get a kindle and tell them to buy it them selves

Pens. At least once a week at work I lend a pen and never see it again.

My stationary is almost depleted and that makes me

Sometimes I find them knocking around and take them back but that doesn't happen often.

Same here. I’ve had to start hiding my red pens.

Hiding in the shadows

I leant a good friend £1k last year.

Wedding anniversary coming up, wanted to surprise his wife

Spotted a holiday in travel agents window - 1 day only deal, 2 days before he got paid

He left her a week later & took his GF!

Not a chance in hell I'll ever get it back

Lesson learnt

Lent my ex £300 earlier this year, every month I get a 'sorry I'll pay you next month' message. I'll get it back at some point, but to be honest if they didn't send me that message I'd probably forget about it. They clearly need it more than me.

Just agreed to lend my godson my rainy day money, so he could afford a deposit on his first apartment. Loved seeing the delight on his face
