Would wrapping them in tin foil help?

The hold is usually cold, so it should be fine.

Yes!

I did today to Spain, it was fine.

My chips in my hand luggage weren't though!

When I flew over from NZ I brought masses of chocolates over. It is cold in the hold, so you only need to be careful with how they are packed so they don't get squashed or damaged.

I put biscuits (with chocs) and crisps in my checked in luggage.

Chocolate will be fine, it’s -50 in the hold and even in the cabin it’s cool in the over lockers

Within Europe you should be free of restrictions (at least for now, while we are still within the EU), out with there are restrictions, especially to Australia/new Zealand but also the USA

(She/ her) in Sensualityland

Been fine except on very hot days when it started to melt but that was likely down to delays once the aircraft had landed and luggage was taken inside airport.
