Have people ever through fab? I’m finding it a bit hard to strike up a conversation with people, I know I’m not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, can anyone give a little advice?

In terms of advice, look for people who are looking for you, make your profile and pictures an attractive proposition, send personal messages, consider clubs and socials.

Maybe look for social events- in the Meets section of the forum. It can be easier to chat in person.

Many men get no replies at all. Try not to let it get you down. Many say they find it easier on dating sites. Good luck.

My advice is, don't take this too seriously and if/when you get knock backs don't worry about it, it's not because people actually know you, just they think that you aren't what they are looking for.

Just chat to people, be prepared to put in the hours and the effort to find out if they like you and visa versa. Then just like magic the conversation may move onto something more flirty and who knows maybe a social meet.

But there's no one size fits all approach, tenacity and patience and a thick skin is required and try to work out what works for each individual you're speaking with.

Some don't many others do its all about how you interact with people how serious you appear and if people are are attracted to you. The oner think is 100% though and that is you can't make people meet you if they don';t want to.

Hiya,

Maybe start by saying a little bit about yourself and trying to spark a conversation as you did message us and you just said “Hey” ???? Not a lot of thought went into that so maybe add more content.

I didn’t reply as we have learnt that 99% of guys say when you tell them you’re not for us is “why not” and it’s not worth the aggravation.

Generically OP it comes down to a few things in my book - finding the right attitude and approach, having the right expectations and having a decent profile and pics - get all of those right and it won't guarantee a thing of course, but it'll set you on the right lines.

So take a look at each of those things and ask if there's anything you could change about them - they're all key but one area where a lot of guys seem to go wrong is in the approach they take - they think the only approach is to just blindly message people cold hoping to get a reply - now that can work for some guys, but with the volume of single men to women/couples on here it can also lead to frustration - so consider what other approaches you could take. Some guys find being active in the forums is a good way to get to know people and strike up conversations, others use the chat rooms, some go to clubs and group socials - so think about those as possibilities too.

Ask yourself what your expectations of the site really are - if you're expecting to get meets coming out of your ears, then you need to lower them, if you're expecting to find someone to date then perhaps dating sites would be better for you etc.

Take a look at your profile and ask yourself does it really make you stand out, would you want to meet you kind of thing.
