Manchester (she/her)

Is this something you can do? Proceed with what you want or need despite your anxiety or self doubt?

I'm not brilliant at it, but I'm getting better.

I can do. If absolutely necessary. But if there is an easier more wussy way of doing things, i’d try that first!

I not full of confidence but just put my head down and get in with it even if I dont want too.

Realized you have to be mentally strong to get through certain aspects of life...again I'm not mentally strong but slowly finding ways to help me.

I still get this. 10 or more years after putting myself centre stage so to speak. It's scary af. But I want to be that person not the old mundane me I was taught to be.

Good for you and anyone else who rides those shakes and damn near throwing up in order to do things they want to do....

I find that the fear can recede. Do the thing, survive, do it again. Becomes less scary.

Sometimes.

And sometimes it comes back to bite you only now you have routine and method and experience to do it anyway. A stiff drink doesn't hurt either.

Fear is not a word in my vocabulary.

I do not and never will know what that word means.

I envy you. Fear is something I'm constantly fighting.

Don’t.

It’s a quote I first heard as a young man entering a sport dominated by big angry tough bastards.

I had the fear every time I stepped out but stepped out anyway.

The fear is one of the things I miss the most, that and the pain on Sundays.

Everyone gets the fear, it’s just now I’m scared of more mundane things like walking into a room of strangers from an Internet forum.
