You think I don't like my own existence?

And don't take this the wrong way, it's a far from suicidal thought but just a feeling of loathing for everything that is human?

I mean, we as people are a virus all the majority of people care about is personal wealth or gain. I know I am being general here, but we as a human race use every resource to within an inch of its life all for our benefit and what is left? An empty husk.

What does a virus do? Use it's host, multiply and spread.

In fact forget it, I'm ranting about bollocks.

Humans are shit it's true. I'm also increasingly depressed at being British, more specifically English. I just try to do the best I can to make the world a better place in my own little ways and take comfort in the fact that society does progress over time.

Great things also happen

Viruses can be cured

Oceans can be cleaned up

Inventions can be made to help the world

Protection and breeding programmes can be done to keep certain species here, we all love a panda

People can be kind, generous, selfless and determined to be a positive force

When we are low it’s so easy to see the bad but this is such a beautiful world too and some fantastic people walking on it

Dude, all the time. I think though in nature the dominant species thrives and multiplies to further it's kind and we are no different. As intelligent beings, and knowing now the impact we are having on the planet, every one of us should proactively be reforming our lives to reduce the harm we are doing.

Once it becomes properly cool to spend your saturday night litter picking or planting trees or whatever, instead of going out with your mates for a drink and a laugh, then things will change pretty quick. As a social being though who in general think our lives are worth more the higher our status is, the more we own etc, a people who will willingly put themselves in major debt to keep up with the Joneses, or some of us who grind themselves into the ground working their balls off to earn enough money to get by in a world driven by consumerism, buying shit we don't need or struggling to pay for the things we do need, until we realize that money shouldn't be the most important thing in the world to live and that just living is all we need, we will continue to reap more than we sew till the planet dies and we die out with it.

I usually then think "why am I wasting my time working when I could go explore the world and live off the land and live life at my pace on my terms?"

Then I put the kettle on and watch an episode of The Walking Dead
