What you all giving up for lent? (This is a joke post not religous) before anyone says anything. My birthday is always beginning of lent so dont think i will be giving up much, but for 40 days and 40 nights i might just spit and not swallow.

I remember reading bob geldof's autobiography many years ago and as a child his father had got them all too decide what they where giving up for lent. As they where poor and never had grapes bob said grapes. His father went out and bought a load of grapes and shared them out amongst the others

Why do they call it Lent? If you're giving up something don't that mean that someone else is gonna have it? Why not call it Borrow, then you could give up Borrowing and be a selfish bastard like me! hehehe

I'm giving up road rage.....usually get so cross while I am walking down the dual carriageway that I just have to stop and stamp on it oh so very hard just to teach it a lesson.......well not for the 40 days n nights up to Easter
