Do you look for different types in a friend with benefits.

Do your friends with benefits differ from your other half's?

I look for the same in anyone I am likely to have sex with - a connection and chemistry and being on the same wavelength - doesn't matter if that's a one off or a potential life partner

I think love and freindship is a spectrum of posibilities and statues, sexual and non-sexual. So there is a whole world of different types of relationships out there that can also run side by side and in harmony with other in relationships. I think is can sometimes get messed up when we try and fit things into a limited range of boxes they don't fit into or shut out certain other areas of the spectrum in the name of exclusivity.

People are not types to be categorised as only suitable for certain relationships or activities.

For me if that "connection" is there and that easy way of sharing words thoughts silences just the whole of another with that sense of peace and knowing its where I want to be then that's enough......

A proper friend with benefits is about FRIEND so find it is the same as for any other friend tbh sex is a bonus and not the reason you know them or do stuff with them ... always Friend first and foremost sex is an added bonus

It intrigues me when I sometimes see pictures of women having sex with men who look nothing like their husbands.

I recently chatted with a lady who told me she likes meeting black men but would never marry one.

People seem to seek different things in fwbs than life partners.

Makes me think why not just marry the fuck of your life lol

My fwb would be people I want to be friends with firstly. The only reason we are not more would be because they wanted kids etc and are on different paths future wise. Nothing different to someone I would date properly.

I can't get my head around the swinging thing sometimes.

Even though since using this site I've been liking the thought of having a girlfriend who sleeps with others.. And that was the last thing on my mind before.

With a bf/partner l, the look for a mutual emotional connection, someone who nurtures my emotional wellbeing, plus an expectation that we are a priority in each other’s lives.

With a playmate, sex or sexual experiences, no feelings but I do care about their wellbeing. I look for ‘anything goes’ as long as there’s respect, it’s not too heavy, it’s fun. It could end at any time, no explanation needed.
