Honesty or Hypocrisy

Hi fabbers!

My prifile clearly states im married. I dont want to go into any other reasons why im on Fab so i dont say more than that - no one needs to hear my woes. However, i get quite a lot of, lets call it, "spirited opposition" about my marital status.

However, there are tons and tons of people who, reading between the lines "cannot accommodate" "need to be diacrete" etc but dont specifically mention being married. At least im honest - any ladies appreciate that or would i be better hiding that fact until we know each other?

Life is grey OP, there's no such thing as a life that's totally honest or totally hypocritical. Regardless of the moral judgments and abuse some may confront you with on here, it's commendable that you are upfront about being attached.

I think people generally appreciate the honesty, and in some cases that honesty will give somebody the information they need to rule you out.

If something like that was hidden from me and I found out at a later date I'd hit the fucking roof. By keeping it a secret it takes away the persons right to choose, and that's not only unfair but deceptive with intent too.

There are plenty of people it won't matter to and many it will matter a lot to and having the info out there makes it easier all round.

Actually, thats a point i never considered. I am obviously confusing profile honesty with actual honesty. I thought being honest about being married absolved me but it must be the infidelity that winds some people up.

Of course, it will always be an emotive subject as a fair few people here have had their own lives turn upside down and ripped apart by being cheated on, or seen the devastation it's caused others. They've lived it and don't want others to go through the hell they endured.

Always honesty. I met a guy for coffee had told me he was single but had a wedding ring on and when I pointed it out he admitted he was married. The social didn't go an farther. I don't judge everyone has their reasons for being on here. I have met married guys but they have been honest from the start.

Discretion is nothing to do with being married, it’s about keeping your sex life private.

Being unable to accommodate - I’m not sure why anyone would want to allow a complete stranger into their home for sex. Far too many unsavoury sorts around. Each to their own I guess.

You put on your profile whatever you choose. If you’re intending to meet then I think you should say if you are married but I don’t think you should put it on your profile unless you want to. People don’t disclose all sorts on their profiles so why this? And there’s a fair amount on people ‘s profiles that isn’t true as well So, so many people lying about their age and what they’re looking for. We know you know because people talk

I would also say there are plenty of people that say on their profiles that they won’t knowingly meet married folk but they do the penis and foof must be mightier (or meatier) than the word
