So on the radio this morning it was reported that having a positive mental attitude could extend your life.

Optimist 1 Pessimist 0

As an optimist i’m Winning at life.

Not asking for any scientific basis but how do you feel about that?

Could it be true??

Optimist = glass half full

Pessimist = glass half empty

I'm an engineer so the glass is either twice as big as it needs to be, or I have 100% redundancy in capacity

Glad we cleared that one up

As an engineer myself, I disagree. The glass is half full when filled halfway, but if it was full and had half removed then its half empty.

But then as an engineer I didn't say it was either half full or half empty, those are the optimist or pessimist to decide. Merely that for the content the glass is currently holding, it is either twice as big as needs be or has that 100% redundancy

Dear dear
