It is a pet hate too, talk about double standards, some are expecting you to jump hoops etc.. but there is a line that you have to draw. Plus with the ratios between men and women on here the odds arent stacked in our favor.

The reality is that women are holding all the cards and can afford to be picky.

I have met people without seeing a face pic on my own and with husband on our couples profile. Not had any nasty surprises yet

If you don't want to show your face pic in the first message OP - message those who don't ask for it in the first message.

they might send one if they reply to an initial message.

What we do is read a profile and if it makes a request or demand we aren't happy to comply with we don't contact them. It doesn't half make life easy.

I accept that I won't be to everyone's taste and that's perfectly fine.

I wouldn't talk to anyone in person with a bag over my head ... so same principal here with private messages.

Why would you message some without sending a face pic anyway? How would they know if there was any point replying, otherwise? As for the dude that didn't understand a female saying no dick pics, when she had smut on her profile.... It's called playing to your audience...
