Why do bad things happen if there's a god.

Because "god" I believe isn't a human form.

I believe it's in a supreme energy form and the world was made.in that concept.

When nasty things happen, that's not the makers responsibility.

It's ours and that's what makes life interesting. Imagine a world where bad things never happened.

But the Bible says god created man in his own image, if you believe the Old Testament god has intervened with devine intervention and the New Testament it was Jesus performing miracles in gods name?

Ask any priest or vicar they will swear god parted the Red Sea, Jesus healed the leapers, mighty miracles indeed..,

How easy would it have been for such magicians to have allowed Jamie Bulger to have not left his mothers side. What that little boy suffered was unbelievable.

I found god/church a place of comfort at times... expecially recently.. as a believer yes i believe in jesus christ... do i believe in 'the ark' and walking on water? No but believe he existed... i just think the story was exaggerated!

Totally agree regarding the Jamie Bulger case. Awful.

But regarding the Bible... It's in the book so it must be true!

I think the creator said... Here you go, it's an opportunity....what you do with it... Well that's life.

Good or bad, is only based on humanities perceptions.

Yes agree... well we all know that fake/exaggerated news has existed long before it became new news.

I believe in God and this is something that is quite often used in the argument against His presence.

The answer is in the Bible, we (humans) are made in his image, we also have free will to make decisions. The most important of them all is if we believe in God.

As for why he lets the bad happen, to put it simply this is satans time, mix that with free will and you have your answer.

The devil will tempt and deceive, he’s the master at it.

As for priests and vicars, very few are teaching Biblical Christianity so if you are really interested to learn more about it I suggest watching “The Daniel Project” it’s on Amazon Prime or you can get the DVD from GlobalTV24/7.

I’m not going to argue with anybody over this, it’s my belief and I’m fully aware of other people’s beliefs and believe in each to their own.

Ps I only came to believe about 3yrs ago and no I wasn’t brainwashed by some cult either

It can be a comfort I agree. My sons currently in intensive care fighting for his life. Do I pray to God for his survival... Or blame him for being there? Neither is my answer.

If your talking of an entity other than what's depicted in the Bible then your heading into non earth living beings, alien theories and that seems more likely to me than a God or Allah.

No, but if he does and I get to heaven, I'm making a complaint.

God was simply a construct of men before telescopes and microscopes proved there was more to the cosmos than a flat earth with the heavens above.

If God is able to do anything, does this mean he is able to make a mountain heavier than he is able to lift?
