Don't be nervous. I had mine out almost 18 months ago. Surgery was keyhole and I was under for around 2 hours I think. You can come home same day.

Best thing I ever had done. Good luck

I had mine removed about 15 years ago. I was in so much pain that it was a complete relief to get it done. Don't worry about it

Assuming it's a laparoscopic cholecystectomy?

It's the most common general surgical operation in the UK.

In 1988 it wasnt common. I sold all the camera kit and scopes and peripheral equipment to surgeons used to opening up.patients with a high rate of complications.

Don't brick it. This is gravy to a general surgeon.

If you wanna know what will happen from someone who watched hundreds of these operations pm me.

Good luck. Don't fret.

Good luck.

I had to have an op in Feb this year and the idea of going under was daunting, but the anaesthestist that does this does it a fair few times a day and is highly trained at what they do. To be fair when had mine done all I saw was the liquid in the cannula and off I drifted. xT

Fonda has her gall bladder removed quite a few years back, the procedure was very simple, when coming round from the anaesthetic she punched the doctor in the face

Same here. I just remember a fella stroking my hand a lot (looking for a vein!) and *poof* i was out. Woke up in recovery room.

You’re in good hands OP, try not to worry x

Out and home on heavy medication but more or less pain free first time in over 2 years. Just a bit uncomfortable but worth the op. Now healthy eating and healthy living x

Love that feeling of going under GA...it’s like your d*unk and then pass out. Next thing you know it’s all done with and you can have a brew and some toast
