Do you enjoy a wedding?

We’ve had 4 this summer, all very different! Tomorrow’s one is going to be a traditional church wedding which could be a little stuffy, the best one was a friend who had pie and mash for dinner , no seating plan and everything chilled !

What type of wedding have you had ? Or having? Or just enjoyed going to?

Mine was best. Wife stayed in local hotel. No car . Ceremony in a Norman church in centre of town. Photos in old Tudor museum. Meal in Italian restaurant with her bruv on decks. Pity I wasn't a guest! Wrapped up at 7pm .

Ours was lovely

Small just 34 in the day

Live Motown band in the evening

Loved every minute

Hate the over the top ostentatious shite these days.

I love weddings. Any excuse to dress up and get d*unk.

My favourite wedding was my own as it was so relaxed. We had alternative vows. We had a morning wedding and then a meal at our favourite restaurant with our nearest and dearest and then buggered off back to the hotel just the 2 of us for rampant sex.

The next night we had a huge party with everyone we knew. Some amazing catering. Huge deserts table. Candy cart. Great music. Photo booth and copious amounts of alcohol. It was a party rather than a wedding

I love weddings - the ones where the love the couple have shine through and everyone enjoys themselves and it's not a facade of what love should be.

I'd quite like to elope and have a wedding at my grandad's church in Italy.

But failing that (darn MIL), I'd love a relatively small wedding, free bar, all of the glorious best food (cheese features), tons of wild British country flowers everywhere and a simple service where my sister plays my favourite classical piece as I walk down the aisle. I'm leaning towards a little chapel local to us.

We had a fancy dress Halloween wedding a few years back which was a great night. We are currently in Gretna for a friends wedding tomorrow.

Hate weddings! Slave and I did it in an office, no guests, no dress, no photos, sealed the deal with a fish finger butty and fizz afterwards, just the 2 of us!

I went to one near london last weekend in a massive traditional church then stayed locally at a 1800s manor house for the afternoon and evening do.

I'm working now for the next 2 years to earn the money back I spent. I didn't know anyone there except the bride and groom lol

Love weddings, but of the age where we seldom get invited these days. You have to be a proper sort not to have a good time at a wedding.

We got married on a boat on the Thames. Intimate, personal ceremony and meal, then all our beautiful freaky friends came to party.

I woke up the next day with a stiff neck from beaming so much.

Mr.

I love going to weddings although I always end up crying when they take their vows as it's so beautiful then drink far too much booze and make a twat out of myself

My friend had a Halloween wedding, even the bar staff dressed up!!

If I was ever to get married again (extremely unlikely) I would have a small thing away from home with my boys there and have a big party when I came back. Would probably do it in secret too

I love weddings! Anyone and everyone’s I’m the type of woman that will stop on the street to watch a bride I don’t know get into or out of her wedding car

I’ve been to many weddings over the years, all different and all lovely. I think it’s the people that make a wedding, whether it’s 10 or 210, it’s all about a good atmosphere and the happiness of the bride and groom not how much they spent.

They can be very expensive for guests especially when you get roped into hen/stag nights!

I cant even tell you what the menu was on the day lmao I did get my own way and have asti in glass for toasts. I hate champagne lol

My wedding was the only best day I had with my now ex husband. It all went tragically down hill from there. However wouldn't say never again if I met a great guy now. I think a failed marriage makes you know who you're totally compatible with and not rush into, being older and wiser

Nah, my partner is the one pushing for a "proper" wedding so clearly me knowing one man who loves them proves your theory wrong.

I like weddings and am looking forward to my cousin's in October.

I made the mistake of trying to be the perfect host at my first - big posh church thing and traditional do afterwards.

We had a small ceremony with a big party in the evening. Guests were told to find me on the dance floor It was MY (our)day.
