Not necessarily, everyone’s different!

I know people who don’t like holiday but they are by no means ‘cheap’!

I love spending time in nice hotels

They always seem like a treat and an escape from the humdrum of life

Or Ireland, where they’ll need to build an ark in ‘summer’

Hertfordshire

I’ve been lucky andVisited 74 different countries so far in my life and have made a point of encouraging my daughter to come away and explore the world with me... nothing more life enriching than discovering about cultures, countries and places in person. Breaks down barriers, prejudices and makes you appreciate the world we live in.

If it doesn't matter where you go then you can get holidays pretty cheap nowadays, especially last minute cancellations if you're prepared to book late.

I understand the no home comforts though, usually by the end of a week or 2 holiday I am really looking forward to my own bed and kist being in my own home

I stay in the UK. The thought of taking my youngest (who has ASD) on an aeroplane is the stuff nightmares are built of. Everyone else on the plane would want to parachute out and i’d be making use of the drinks trolley

Don't let that stop you

Airlines and crews are used to dealing with such things

Besides, have you ever flown to Amsterdam or Alicante or Palma or Ibiza near a weekend?

I have

200 stags and hens who started the party 5 or 6 hours before boarding

THAT is the stuff of nightmares

I won’t, i’ll do a (very) short internal flight with him first when the time comes Bussy. I tend to pre worry that’s my problem!

I’ve had two lovely supportive messages from this thread too, it’s brightened my day - thank you all x

Manchester (she/her)

I love exploring new places, observing how other cities work. Getting out of my comfort zone.
