How posh are you? What products can you not scrimp on? What's the most expensive item you buy? Every day stuff obviously.

Was shopping with a friend at the weekend and she paid a little over 30 euro for shampoo, conditioner and body wash. One bottle each. I could believe how much she had spent as I would have spent less than a tenner.

Fragrances. I'm very fussy about how I smell, and while I'll still try and save as much as I can (Ebay, Amazon etc rather than Selfridges) I can't just wear a cheapo generic after shave.

Eau Sauvage by Dior (not the sickly Johnny Depp one, the 60s original) is my favourite. I'm really into Givenchy Gentleman at the moment too, it's punchy and kind of old fashioned. Bottega Venetta Pour Homme really suits me for an evening scent, too. Patchouli-forward scents seem to sit really well on me.

Make no apologies for it either.

Although I have just spent 32 quid on a body spray, I'll regret it later when I look in the cupboard and there's only a baby leaf and some Schwarz chilli powder in there to eat

As for hair and beauty products you pay for the carefully designed packaging. I've bought perfectly good face cream at a great price which is just as good as any overpriced label. As with food products, companies sell the same product to different shops but just change the graphics. You can see this by just looking at the shape of the bottle

I don't really have the need for much "stuff" but when I want or need something important, I'll always buy the best available. Travel is one thing I won't skimp on - I refuse to travel coach or economy, always first class on trains and I have never been on a bus in my life! I don't think this makes me "posh", just discerning.

I dont like cheap stuff.

I dont buy very expensive stuff either - its usually middle priced - depending on what it is.

I hate cheap own brand food it's horrible.

I dont shop in Aldi, Lidl or Asda.

I dont buy designer clothes or Primark clothes - I like middle of the range high street stuff.

Buy cheap buy twice - its false economy.

You get what you pay for!
