I make enough mistakes myself trying to type quickly and ending up mashing the wrong buttons with my fat digits, so mistakes I'm fine with. Text speak I dont like because the sentence doesn't flow right if I have to decipher the words as I go along, so I find I'm paying more attention to the words than the message in the message/post.

Yes.

I won't be too bothered by most slip-ups in forum comments because they are very spontaneous, but they should at lease make sense (which some don't).

It does make me cringe when a profile is written badly. That's somebody's shop window and they should make it as good as they can. A badly-written profile will immediately get zero interest from us.

It does put me off somebody. Mine is far from perfect but I like to think I attain a fair standard. I try to remember that some people may be dyslexic or not have had a very good education, which isn't their fault. The ability to string a decent sentence together is an attractive quality though, in my opinion.

A lot of text speak really frustrates me as it just comes across as lazy. Things like hru instead of how are you? I imagine they'll be just as lazy sexually, and it's a turn off, but i'm sure I'm just a snob.

I make a lot of typos due to sight problems, and obviously soneone with dyslexia will struggle a bit with spelling but I think there are a lot of people who genuinely don't know the difference between their, they're, and there.

People can have a pop at the OP but it is a bit embarassing that people for whom English isn't their first language type better than a lot of English people. Again I'm sure I'm just a snob though, and yes I have plenty to worry about besides grammar!

Perfect communication does not require perfect spelling.

If we can all get our message across, perhaps the finer details of spelling and grammar should be ignored.

"Never ever come into the forums and criticise others bad spelling or writing without making damn sure your own (especially your profile), is up to scratch.

You'll make a bit of a wally of yourself. "

I agree with you it shouldn't be about the written word it should be about the person, their personality, their body, their smile, their breasts, their penis etc etc etcetera

"Anyone else frustrated by the bad English and poor spelling on here?

There/Their is a prime example! "

Sure, you have on your profile bio a little statement about not judging people. How did that go for you?

Oh good grief, yes. Bugs me a lot. Daft, I know. Predictive text does not help. So many times I’ve spelt something correctly only to find the autocorrect has added something else!!

Proofreading is everything. Even at 04.28!!

As long as it's not text speak it's all good. My spelling is shocking and I type too quick so do constant typos. The content is more important to me that the spelling and grammar.

Not so fused about bad spelling, but grammar can be confusing when reading posts. It's the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse or helping your Uncle jackoff a horse.

I would make sure my own profile was perfect before criticising other peoples

That's just pedantry. I'd more concerned with a message entirely in text speak than the odd typo.
