Why do people never think of the background to a picture?

Far too many pics in toilets with urinals and cubicles or bedrooms with soiled sheets or laundry on floor or kitchens with dirty plates or washing up in sink.!!!

I totally agree, after all, you are showcasing yourself so make it as enticing as possible. My pet hate is seeing a toilet with the lid up in the background
