All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

I wanted to have named my daughter Amy as I love the name - it's cute, sweet and short.

Mother in law at the time did our heads in! Settled on Isabel instead

Although seriously if it ever happened I'd put way too much thought into it. Family names and potential for upset, bullying, cultural implications, meanings, etc.

Given the number of people in my extended family who use names other than the ones they were given, it probably wouldn't make any difference.

In the extremely unlikely event of me ever having children, Samantha would be my suggestion.

"I love the names Clara and Arabella. "

I love those too.

I also love Emilia, Daisy, Belle, Penelope, Poppy, Aurora and Chlamydia.

Now ask me about naming a boy and I genuinely have no idea. I was worried if I had a boy he would be nameless as I don't like any boys names enough

I'd hide any names I wanted to give my hypothetical child. It's much harder to say "this baby in front of me has a horrible name" than to say "your idea is stupid".

That's terrible! I hate when people steal names and I completely understand why some people keep the names they like secret. I'd never dream of it!
