I accept compliments better in life not here though the "you're gorgeous" inspires a "you're looking at my photos not me" attitude from me. How, apart from "well written profile" or "like ya photos" can you actually compliment someone you have never seen let alone met? Puzzles me tbh

I don't necessarily think that's the case, but can see how it may be the perception - I don't give or accept compliments too easily, so when I do give them they're certainly genuine and without ulterior motive - however because of the nature of the site they are certainly diluted to the point that it's only people that know me who appreciate them for how genuine they are.

That said, I think it's usually easy to spot the false flattery type, that allude to the intended recipient being "the best", "most" and other superlatives that simply couldn't be true

I'm suspicious of all compliments that come from people I've not interacted with before. I might choose to accept them, but I won't take any strings that might try to follow them.

I like giving compliments and raising people up, but here I do it carefully given the suspicion it naturally attracts.

The thing that gets me is how quickly they will go from the above, to the complete opposite when you turn them down (something along the lines of "I wasn't really interested, you are a fat pig"). Not all guys take rejection badly, but some are real charmers.

It’s difficult to accept compliments from folk when they’re telling you you’re so beautiful when all they can see is your lingerie. I take everything with a pinch of salt on here. If they compliment me on my boobs then I would take that because my boobs are beautiful

I accept a compliment if its sincere and plausible.. If a guy says you are beautiful/so pretty when I obviously only have bum/boobs/fadge in my public pics then no but if he were to say your boobs are nice or you suit those knickers then I will accept it as he has obviously looked at my profile and complimented me on what he sees
