When you're chatting with someone what kind of compliments make you smile and feel good about yourself?

Ironic ones, or ones where they do them by smoke signals.

Any compliment is nice really. People dont give enough compliments to each other these days and when they do some dont take them very well. We should all smile if someone has something nice to say about ourselves I think

Oh agreed! A heartfelt small positive comment given or received can brighten up your day, week, year or even life

Perhaps it's an English thing that quite a few people seem unable to give or receive nice comments?

Unexpected ones. A woman stopped me in the street to tell me how nice I looked recently. That was a nice compliment to receive

Someone once said to me a million years ago when I was a lot happier on my travels that they had come especially to a bar in Goa to see me because I made them laugh so much.

I met them in another state in India.

I was chuffed to bits and think of it often

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

Any compliments that seem sincere and genuine. It's the only ones I give, for my part.

Manchester (she/her)

I struggle with compliments, always have. I generally prefer compliments on my personality/ intelligence/ humour over body/ physical, at first.

I have to trust someone a bit to let compliments "land", rather than just being externally graceful.
