My uncle and friends walked past a church on the way to the pub and when they got near the church, an old lady walked across the road and walked through the bars in the church gate and vanished.

They talked about it when they were in the pub and the locals said there hasn't been a church in the area for over a 100 years

On their way back to the hotel, the church wasn't there.

I lived in a house that backed onto the castle walls in Lincoln. There was some creepy things there. Grill pan flying across the kitchen. Two housemates pulled out of their bed on the saw night, a shadow walking across the room to no explanation, a bizarre feeling on the way down the stairs to the bottom floor.

Till this day I dont know why it happened to me.. I dont believe it was a relative trying to comfort me. I just believed I was in a haunted house where someone had died a very long time ago and somehow the spirit had decided it needed a new host.

Personally I don't believe in ghosts but I got scared once, after my then neighbour came running out of her caravan and told me there was something in there.

I thought nonsense and I went over and checked it out. When I turned to walk away, I heard a banging noise and it did freak me out, because there was nobody in there.

I later chatted with the previous owner and he told me that someone died in it and he heard the same noises.

It depends on the stage of development a medium is for me it’s usually my gudie that passes things on

Say for example a man wanted to connect with some one

I would be told there is a man who wants to speak to lady

I then ask them to show me visual prompts that the lady would recongise from her loved one in spirit then I would pass on the message

Spirit will not tell me when a person will die, how they will die etc

I've seen things with my own eyes and also heard stories to never doubt these things..

When i was 14 in bangladesh i was walking with uncle to another town it was dusk when its starting to get light, in bangladesh my village area has almost no lights and its like a jungle on our path there was a mosque and I heard loud prayers so i started walking towards it n ill never forget the sight i saw giant slim men head almost touching the ceiling and my uncle grabbed me and said we have to leave quickly. Later he told me those jinn are very obsessive religious and if you go in with them they force you to pray and never let you leave

Agreed! A bunch of us were out at night a few years ago, went to go to a graveyard and my friend decided to piss on a tree on purpose to try to "wake" a jinn. He fainted shortly after and then woke up and started talking weird shit and screaming. We waited it out because we shouldnt have even been out to begin with, he went back to normal thank god and doesn't remember the night at all. It was scary af and he denies it happened to this day

I cant say i believe nor can i say i disbelive.

But ive had a few expieriences.

1) when me and the wife were going out with each other we thought wed drive to a dark discreet place so we could have nooky in her car.

Anyway call of nature needed a pee so i stepped out for a piss.

Whilst out i heard this heavy breathing by my ear.swing my fist around to smack someone but no one was there.

It was pitch black except for the occational beam from the lighthouse at south stack north wales.

Hence i jamp inthe car pretty sharpish and we drove off quickly.

South stack is a popular place for climbers and a few have fallen to their deaths in the sea.

Could this be the spirit of a drowned climer who knows.

Shit me up though.

Expierience 2 in our old property.

We had a corner cabinet with a glass door.

For a few weeks at the corner of my eye i saw a shadow move past in the glass.

When i eventually told my wife she said shed seen it when i wasnt with her.

Expirience 3..me and the wife werein bed she asleep or so i thought.

Hheard the chester draws open and shut a few times.

I went down stairs to make sure we wernt being burgled.

No one there all doors and windows locked.

Told the wife in the morning and she said she heard it aswell.

And lastly in our present house which is 300 years old big beams cottage.

Theres a kitchen windows which faces opposite to the setee were i watch tv in the living room.

I keep every so often seeing a dark figure looking out of the window at the corner of my eye.

And when i turn my head to look nothings there puts a chill down my spine i tell ya.apparently my father in law used to loook out of the window whilst listening to cricket.

Hes been dead since 2000.

I think it's unlikely that a person exists beyond death except for the physical atoms that they were comprised of. As such, the concept of a ghost being a person who died isn't likely.

There appears to be no good research evidence that supports there being ghosts either - there are anecdotes largely. This seems to be the same for the range of paranormal phenomena.

People want comfort and are also prone to biases in their interpretation of experience and sensory data. We should therefore be highly sceptical of reports that suggest there is life after death etc.

When i split up with my first serious fella after dating for many years and was upset, i could smell a strong Lavender smell in my house (no it wasn’t air freshner!). It was a comforting smell. Would come and go. It didn’t scare me. I could smell it and if it was about and i had visitors, they couldn’t.

When my Grampy passed away and we went to see him laid out in the Funeral home there was a certain smell about the place (air freshner i assumed!). However for a few months after i would occasionally smell it but usually if i was outside (so not an air freshner?).

Also the week that my grampy died i had a dream where he visited me. He stood in my bedroom doorway, then sat on my bed and told me not to be upset and that he was ok. When i woke up the sense of relief i had was overwhelming.

The same thing happened when my childhood dog died. I had a dream where my uncle (who had died a few years earlier) knelt down and called the dog to him and they both walked off together. I woke up feeling comforted.

When my eldest was born and he was in his cot i went in to check on him one night before going to bed and i could have sworn that i saw faint glimmers of light floating about in his room. This i put down to being over tired.

I have also been watching the telly in the dark and out of the corner of my eye i have seen a coloured light, and its been there ages then when i look it’s gone.

Also when i was in School one day i had an unexplained sharp pain in my finger. A real “ow!” Pain. I got home and told my mum. She showed me her hand. The same hand, the same finger where i’d had the pain....she’d cut her finger on a knife peeling spuds for tea that same day.

Returning to school after Christmas holidays, I and two others were walking past the kitchen and saw the school dog sat in there doors locked

Went up to the headmaster’s quarters to let him know the dog was locked in to be told, he passed away four days ago !

Just one of those strange occurrences from school

I went on an investigation/vigil about 18 months ago as a birthday treat - visited an old pit head where sadly one of my relatives died back in the 1930s.

It was a fascinating night, using equipment to see changes in surroundings, soundbox, sound recordings and other things.

My old house had quite a lot of activity with a ghost/s. Twice I saw two separate ghosts. One man & the other was a young boy.

Living alone was uncomfortable at times in that house.

I've had many experiences in my life that are currently inexplicable. To attribute them solely to people who have died is quite narrow minded in my opinion. I do think that a certain energy can exist after a body has died but I don't think it's sentient or able to communicate.

Our brains are capable of far more than we know though

My theory...instead of dead people returning..Ghosts may be a vision from a parrelel universe..

..scientoligists (and remember they've got an 'ology) havent ruled out parrelel universes,could explain lots of 'seen' things,

9 times out of 10 a spirit in the house is a loved one who wants to connect with us and they don’t mean us any harm

Sometimes they are people who have passed in the house agen they do not mean you any harm

A spirit has no reason to harm you

"Expierience 2 in our old property.

We had a corner cabinet with a glass door.

For a few weeks at the corner of my eye i saw a shadow move past in the glass.

When i eventually told my wife she said shed seen it when i wasnt with her.

Expirience 3..me and the wife werein bed she asleep or so i thought.

Hheard the chester draws open and shut a few times.

I went down stairs to make sure we wernt being burgled.

No one there all doors and windows locked.

Told the wife in the morning and she said she heard it aswell.

And lastly in our present house which is 300 years old big beams cottage.

Theres a kitchen windows which faces opposite to the setee were i watch tv in the living room.

I keep every so often seeing a dark figure looking out of the window at the corner of my eye.

And when i turn my head to look nothings there puts a chill down my spine i tell ya.apparently my father in law used to loook out of the window whilst listening to cricket.

Hes been dead since 2000."

Sounds like you are sensitive to spirit hun and they know you can see them

Daunting, i know too well. I used to have things move about and in corners of the rooms from the rooms that objects ect were in. Particularly in the living room I had a horses head statue & you could guarantee 9 times outta 10 that would have been moved to a corner of the room. Dinning room Chairs on their backs/ pictures moved about in corners! I was pleased to have been able to move at the time!

Noises too! Most horrifying as you could hear it was almost like furniture had been dragged around yet nothing had been moved when I'd checked! Especially at night. Most of the stuff was happening daytime. X

Not seen a ghost in 35 or 40 ghost hunts ive done over the years . Having said that ive been touched,hit,scratched and pushed by something i couldnt see in many of the haunted places ive visited .its a better night out than going to a nightclub and cheaper

Many years ago I was driving my car down a back road late at night, it was a clear dry night. I came to the brow of a hill and suddenly right in front of my car there was a figure in the road, I had no time at all to stop anywhere near in time it was that close so I hit the brakes and shut my eyes and waited for the worse. There was no bang, nothing, I got out and looked but there wasn't a soul there, not a sound.

I went home shaken, all I could see was this person literally next to my front bumper. I told my mother about this as I was home at the time on leave, she told me that that has happened there a few times to other people over the years.

Do I believe in ghosts? Well I'm not really sure, I in general think not but I'm completely at a loss as to how to explain that night

It was run down when we moved in, found off the old noreen that lived next door that the bloke used to knock his wife about in the 70s. She eventually passed away after being pushed down the stairs the house and he took his life here. Ive had 5 years of hell, doors slammed in my face, held down in bed, pushed on the stairs, shadows. I even had a team in that set cameras up and afair bit was caught.

Ive had it blessed many times and its gone very quiet until this year, ive taken the back off the house and extending it all out, nocking the downstairs about, new roof ect ect and have been having issues again. Ive been leaving lots of candles lit and keeping the house and trying to keep myself very positive. I never believed in any of this type of thing until i bought the house

What it was I can't explain, but don't think it's anything to do with an afterlife..

This was a new build house I had it from new I was the first in that house. I never experienced any form of violence but Jeez I bet thoes experiences were & are horrendously scary! I lived alone but always felt like someone or thing was watching me or around me. Never could I settle there.

Obviously when selling the house I was completely honest with the people who came for the viewings. In the end a couple bought it & they have experienced doors slamming & the taps turn on footsteps about and their stuff been moved into corners. But they love the house & would never sell it apparently! I certainly wasn't staying there! Funny thing was all that didn't start happening until 4 years in! X
