Morrisons have launched a new vegan BLT sandwich called the CLT. It's basically carrot, lettuce and tomato but some vegans are angry that its just a salad and a rip off. Is this fair?

It is my experience that vegans are angry 90% of the time. Buy the sandwich, don’t by the sandwich, how is it unfair?

It is just a salad. I'd expect a bacon substitute if it's being marketed as a vegan alternative to BLT.

I don't really know but a friend of mine eats what he calls vegetarian ham, so I guess you can get vegan bacon so to speak. Maybe reformed soya with flavourings

Reformed soya with flavourings sounds very healthy...

But if it works then yes, they should put more effort into the blt.

I believe they have fake-on (sound like bacon) and quorn do a bacon substitute... I think quorn is vegan
