Never did A levels.

Left school, got a job, never been unemployed since, got college and university degrees through work.

I never did A levels, I started them but dropped out. Then had a string of dead end jobs. I wasn’t ready back then. I hated school and college wasn’t for me.

Years later though I went back to uni and now have a degree and 2 masters degrees. I reckon things turned out ok.

A world all of his own

I did the first year in A level human biology and English language, then quit and started an apprenticeship.

Loved biology, hated Englih Lang.

I quit after a year. I'd been pressurised by teachers and parents to do the subjects I excelled at rather than enjoyed. Hated it and went from pretty much top of the class throughout school to 6th form drop out within a matter of months.

Well done to everyone on their A Level results.

I was hopeless at school and came away with a D.E.N.U

Managed to blag a place at Uni and then started working; I had far too much fun in the sixth form.

Came away with a degree, did a post grad and onto a professional qualifications.

Think what I am trying to say is if you got the results you wanted congratulations, you have reaped the rewards of all that hard work. If you didn’t, it doesn’t matter there are so many opportunities still out there and it all comes down to how much you want something.

Good luck to all those going to Uni, or starting a career - now go and enjoy the rest of the summer hols
