Mythology and identity

This may be niche. What the hell.

Are there any mythical characters you identify with? Traits you see in yourself?

For example, I see myself as being strongly Dionysian (Greek god of, among other things, wine and the theatre). I'm very passionate, I have various masks and identities I play with, and I enjoy tinkering at the edges of these things. In some ways I'm Athena, the clever warrior, born from might and wisdom. (I'll leave the virgin bit alone, haha )

What would be really amusing would be giving other forum users figures they most represent!

I'd like to think of myself like an Athena sort of woman but the reality is I'm a Metis with my deep thoughts/overthinking streak and my playful wit. In an ideal world it would be Aphrodite but that's wishful thinking. Shifting away from Greco mythos, Benzaiten? I'm quite eloquent and my waffle certainly flows.

Regarding play, specifically sexual play, I would like to consider myself full of sexual desire and, in application to sites such as Fabswingers et al, unrequited love. Hence, my Greek god namesake.

Yes. The mythical Jesus figure.

liberal, liked wine, born of a virgin (pretty sure mum never had sex), goes missing at bank holidays, loves Xmas presents.....not so much into getting beaten and crucified though and not into upholding child killing, genocide and slavery but just the good bits.

This needs some proper thought, and consulting of books because my memory is terrible. But for now I'll go with Actaeon. Fortunately, I don't have dogs.

I’m a bit of a blend of Dionysius and Hermes. My love for engaging in experiences without the need to impose order on it, allowing things to flow just to see what happens enhanced by my penchant for wine

Whereas my love for communication, travel (spending so much time overseas), breaking down boundaries coupled my passion for music brings out the Hermes in me.

I feed on and use sexual energy like a succubus, refuse to bow to any man and have spawned mini demons

Agree, calm and cool is also one of the characters not sure because of a water element or he choose water because of vengeful nature, hard to provoke

Ah, yes. Another Cassandra here. Spends most of the play silent, then when she does have a rant no one listens and it takes a couple of sequels for the survivors to clean up the mess.
