You have to have the right accompanying snack for full energy release.

I’ve never tried an energy drink apart from Lucozade when poorly.

I find good sleep, plenty of water, and keeping iron levels high works best

The problem with energy drinks is the short term effect followed by the massive drop as the "benefits" wear off

Also, caffeine is a stimulant, the more you give your body, gradually the more you will need to get the same effect

If you do need the short term hit, strong coffee is better as you don't get the sugar rush then trough effect

Coffee. Strong black and preferably a dark roast.

I've just had the fun of a coffee tour of North Scotland. Visiting a few of the sights up there and sampling local coffees. Was pretty good.

Red bull type drinks can lead to heart damage thy contain Caffine & Taurine a lethal combination that raises blood pressure use in moderation .. not like youngsters who drink thro out the day

But taurine can be used to help heart and blood pressure problems.

I've had about 8 or 10 cans of monster in a 36 hour period and I'm still alive.

I used to love a cup of coffee first thing in morning but I don't like drinking hot drinks in the summer.

At the moment an energy drink for quickness and convenience.

I'm fine if on the move or phydical activity but since I work in an office I mainly drink coffee for a mind stimulation boost. Energy drinks a no-no pre-gym. Contemplating caffeine bullets though for Amsterdam.

Don’t like the taste of coffee

Like the taste of energy drinks !

But bizarrely when I pull out an energy drink when others are having coffee the coffee drinkers seem to have an uncontrollable urge to point it out?!

I don’t like coffee so I’ll have an energy drink .... what’s the difference ?

In my line of work you often need to stay alert and vigilant for long periods of time. I was never a coffee drinker (always a good pot of tea). But recently I've discovered strong black brewed coffee. It does the trick and I like the flavours. That stuff is my rocket fuel when I'm laging.

One day I hope to get a big cow boy coffee pot and master the art of brewing proper cow boy coffee over the camp fire.

Hopefully, I'll get off caffeine someday, or at least just have the 1 cup in the morning. How you been? xx
