a quandary what would you do this is important

A pub near where I'm staying charges £4 for a pint of Guinness which is still 80 p per pint dearer than my local, it has an attractive barmaid and decent WiFi that allows me to download Netflix I go in this pub solely to charge my tech a guy who I've never seen behind bar but has said Hi to me in a previous visit came over and said he had noticed I was charging up my tech I agreed with him he said " I should put a £1 in the charity box " nobody goes in this pub sometimes it's me and three barmaids, my quandary is now the other more rustic pub that has great service good food, the other pub doesn't have food but the beer is now 10 p cheaper in the rustic pub that has more atmosphere and a better view but crap WiFi and no signal, what would you do with that hour of your life and is that guy a good business man?

It really comes down to if you can afford it. Don't be a scrooge over 10p a pint and a couple of quid for charity. If you are able to go to the pub with the good WiFi and the hot barmaid then I think you'll have a better time there.

Negotiate commercial affairs, including finding their electricity costs maximum that you are taking. I assume this place offers charging to customers generally? A high capacity Tesla battery ok? Discuss your shared goals - his business income

Otherwise decide on what is important to you.

If they provide a wi-fi service they should expect it to be used! If there is a limit it should be stated somewhere. If they expect you to donate to charity shouldn’t it be a charity of your choice?

Barmaid. You won't need the wifi if you are talking to her (surely you can manage an hour without it anyway) and you won't mind if the beer is more expensive.
