Your dream home if you had limitless funds.

What would it be like?

Are you a keep it humble and clean with as long as it's near beautiful views

Or a massive mansion with every conceivable luxury??

Not a huge mansion but a big house; a couple of spare rooms, an entertainment room, big double garage, driveway and a decent sized garden. Yeah I'd be pretty happy with that

As for location, I'm not too sure but a suburban area for sure

If money truly were no object I'd probably take my time to find a plot of land and have something designed and built that fit my needs and would do so for the rest of my life - wouldn't necessarily be a huge mansion as I don't see the point in something that you rattle around in, but would be big enough to have enough space and storage to live in comfortably.

About the only "must" would be a room big enough to house all the books, CDs and DVDs I own stored logically so I could find them without having to rummage!!

Stay where i am in the heart of a derbyshire village, but buy the feild next door and have a mega garage built for all my classics

Id also buy a cute little flat in london, somewhere with character maybe a old mill/factory type of place canal side.

I would build a house in the woods quiet peaceful with a log burner big living room with a polarbear skin rug for me and the woman i elude to often to get cozy together on

The bedroom would be mirrored with a nice big bed 4 poster bed to tie her to a movie camera so every now and again we could invite someone to film us and littered with sex toys and things i could use on her would be bliss

The Town by The Cross

I'm humble and clean.

I like the industrial look or the good old wood and iron look.

I'm not a fan of luxury furniture that stains and breaks or no one is allowed near.

I love ease of movement and minimal cleaning.

At present I don't have curtains from choice.... just blinds.

Maybe i'm a nun.....

I love the houses of the arts & crafts era, big rooms and high ceilings. A terrace overlooking a park , 4 floors that I could chuck a load of money at and sympathetically restore with a modern twist a la old house new home style

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

I rent the ground floor of the servant's quarters of a big country house. If I had the money, I'd buy the whole house.

I have upstairs neighbours but the main house is the landlord's holiday home, so is empty most of the year. Would be nice to have the whole place to myself.

My dream house came on the market a couple of weeks ago, it’s 5 minutes up the road from me and I drive past it all the time. It’s up for 3 million, I’d describe it as a mock Tudor mansion and it’s gorgeous. It’s on millionaires row next to the royal birkdale golf club, kenny Dalgliesh lives on the same road and Alan Hanson around the corner.

Don’t want an enormous house can’t see the point of lots of empty rooms. Nice bungalow large garage for our car and motorbike. Big workshop at the end of a decent size garden for our hobbies. Neighbours but not too close like privacy and peace n quiet.

I want a small house, efficient and complete but small.

Just like an apart-hotel.

Small clear short carpet grass compound/outdoor patio, few small flowers arranged in a line at the edge..overlooking a calm sea/bay.

.

And totally free of cobras..(unlike my current house ..!!!)

My home would be built around a large aquarium. The central room of the house being the big marine tank itself. So that most rooms in the house had a window and an underwater view.

There would be paludariums dotted around with various plants and wildlife invited to share the home with me.

Decor wise I'd go Full On Pirate. Jolly Roger flying from the roof... A plank to step off the third floor into the outdoor pool below that weaves in and out of my home lazy river style.

Libraries, studies, smoking room, a relaxation bubble within the aquarium.

A Tiki Barthat can be accessed via pool/house and garden. Large patio that doubles as a dancefloor.

Walk in freezer.. Kitted out kitchen that has a lift down to the subterranean garage that could hold about 10 vehicles.

Secret rooms, passages, firemans poles, slides dotted around for my children to find and surprise others with.

Intercom.. so I dont have yell or go hunting to find my boys when dinner is ready.

Guest houses and a massive garden where I could hold the "Khurralthai" An new Annual Swingers event (invitation only) for my birthday.

Not thought about this before much.

I'd buy a few properties because my tastes are fickle and I could go where I wanted.

I'd buy a large country pad with a few acres of land. One that had been sympathetically restored and not all gauche and nouveau riche. Huge kitchen and large library and a lovely stand alone bath tub. At least two. Massive bay windows through out.

Then I'd like a Chelsea pad. Small apartment, industrial style, exposed brickwork, clean lines and flooded with natural light. Scandi style decor. Simple. Neutral tones.

And then a victorian house in Scotland. It's where my heart will always be I think.

Personally I'd like to build it myself, being a carpenter the idea of design and build is a dream come true, a lodge in the mountains overlooking a lake or the sea, made by hand with sustainable materials using modern technology and techniques.

A log fired hot tub outside, master bedroom with huge balcony overlooking stunning views peace and quiet but within easy reach of civilization.

Also as we are dreaming one of those stunning French chateau's in the country with immaculate gardens.

And along gravel driveway

I’d love a big house with a large bedroom each and en suite bathrooms and a walk in wardrobe for me and my daughter. Then a large indoor pool and games room for the boys. And a good stocked library with a big comfy chair. Nice garden and a garage for mr to put all his cars in x

Something modest, middle of nowhere, with lots and lots of land. Woods, rivers, lake, valleys and vast expanses of meadow as far as the eye can see.

No neighbours for miles but a very obliging country pub at the edge of my "queendom" who would lay on a smokin' hot, slightly rough around the edges chauffeur to drive me back and forth.

(And who'd ravish me senseless before sodding off back home and leaving me in peace, obvs. )

I’d love the opportunity to a renovate a big, either Georgian or Victorian property. Completely transforming it on the inside to something modern, functional and clean. I don’t think I’d add too many luxuries, but a huge kitchen and dining room is a must. Along with a big bedroom with super king size bed, en-suite and walk-in wardrobe.

Not huge but entrance hall which is at the side of the house, is circular and all stone with alcoves, lovely big cushions for sitting reading. It has a huge domed atrium roof for maximum light.

Whole house is double aspected with sea right at the front and hills and rolling countryside to the back.

Off the entrance is main living. Kitchen in the middle of the room with family living either end. Huge glass panels opening up either end onto beach path at the front and small kitchen garden at the back.

From the far end of the house is accessed the small utility and downstairs cloakroom.

From the front runs a corridor along to the family music room for listening and playing.

That would leave a square in the middle for a Himalayan style garden to relax in which could be accessed from the kitchen or music rooms.

Upstairs would be a full length library and study. Bedrooms and huge bathroom. Enormous shower of course and freestanding stone bath with a huge squishy sofa in there too.

I’d try and persuade my son and his gf to live with us by adding a recording studio and art studio. Sure I’d be able to persuade them if I also added an animal sanctuary at the back somewhere.

Ok maybe it’s a bit more huge than I first thought.

I would build a smallish cottage as long as it has a log burner and a cwtch, I'm not bothered. Its all about location for me, by a river or lake so I can have a dip and a big enough shed for a ride on mower. Happy days

I would like a big cottage surrounded by endless countryside views. I'd like four or five bedrooms. It would be full of light, lots of windows. It would be quirky and rustic and show lots of personality with a modern and clean finish. I'd love a couple of acres of garden too.

I would keep where we are but buy the house next to us, for more space to double up. That’s a greedy wish though as I really do love our house, our view and location. We don’t want for much... except a conservatory and a library if I’m being a dreamer haha

There’s a beautiful house on the market a few minutes away from where we live now. It’s a 7 bedroom farmhouse, traditional decoration with open fires, range cooker in the kitchen, beams in the ceilings etc. The gardens look incredible too. I’ve been lusting after it ever since I noticed it for sale. I wouldn’t change a single thing about it, I live it just as it is. If I had a spare 800grand I’d buy it tomorrow
