I’m the same chap. When someone contacts me and I see their photos/verifications are full of buff blokes or when a couple where the male half is an Adonis, I reply that I am probably not for them, I want to meet people who I feel relaxed around and if I am not their “usual” type, I can’t see that happening

On the contrary side, my ex had a big thing for fit, toned, gym fit guys, I met her when I was 2 1/2 stone heavier than I am now. If I'd followed this principle I would've talked myself out of a 2 year relationship.

You shouldn't let that put you off, people can be attracted to lots of different types.

I agree with this. I don't understand why people think that they know someone else's interest better than that person does.

Speaking for myself i am attracted to many different types of women, I don’t have a set type and stick to that type exclusively.

Only one thing would completely exclude a woman for me and that’s an unattractive personality.

I am sure many others are the same including the women in the verifications you have been checking up on.
