Is fab linked to other sites? I read an article saying that facebook can link the two and it concerns me as im on fb a lot

Where did you see the article?

To the best of my knowledge Facebook can't link with fab but if you use your phone to contact somebody on fab Facebook usually has permissions to look at your contacts.

I have had a few Facebook friend suggestions of people I have met on fab shortly after texting or calling them.

Now we have a phone just for contacting people on fab to keep the two separate.

I will. I am also concerned when i do any searches as they all come up on my laptop as well as my phone and my student daughter has access to my laptop for windows

most peoples mistake is linking through their phone numbers.. not checking their security settings on each site.

So you end up getting suggested through people you may know.

delete your internet history after each use.. but this can be reset and revealed by someone with the knowledge.

Or open an incognito / private window on your browser, it won't share what your looking at in any other linked devices

Pick yourself a cheap smartphone up. PAYG.

Use fab via wifi on it.

Don't store any fab contact numbers.

Use a disposable gmail account.

Nothing will be linked to anything your daughter can access that way.

I use private browsing for fab 100% of the time. Haven’t been on Facebook for over 10 years lol don’t need it, I see all my friends in real life.

Depending on which browser you are using you can set it to default opening with a private window - Safari its simply a case of choosing it in the preferences, Chrome needs a bit of registry editing on a Mac,
