The healthy average is 10-20 mins and anything less than 10 you're seen as sleep deprived, I swear I fall asleep in less than 5 mins, I must be psychotic and I get around 8hrs each night!

Hillside desolate

Same, I'm usually asleep within a couple of minutes of closing my eyes. But if I wake up during the night, I can never get back to sleep

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It depends. If I can't shut down my brain then it can take hours. Anything between 5 minutes and 5 hours.

I really struggle these days . I find myself having a quick glance on YouTube . Which starts out as bob Ross painting something and I end up down a rabbit hole and watching Radiohead live at Glastonbury

Yeah I had stuff on my mind yesterday, woke up at 4 to pee and then couldn't go back to sleep for about an hour

A good few hours for me. . I just can't nod off until I've listened to music.

Somewhere between a few minutes and 15 minutes mostly. I wake during the night to pee - usually between 4:00 and 5:00 and mostly go straight back to sleep.

Hiding in the shadows

Depends whether my ADHD brain is in a whirl or not.

Nights I finish work at midnight, can take me couple of hours to unwind & be able to sleep.

Other nights, I'm out in seconds - I sit on my bed to get undressed, and wake up partially clothed!

Near Bristol

Work concerns and worries keeps me awake at night. A friend suggested Mindfulness and it seems to be working, hard to say how long it takes now but I'd guess about 20 minutes.

Deeside

Usually takes up to 30mins for me if I'm going to bed tired, if im going just because it's time then can be awake for hours. Doesn't help that i work nights especially when it's been hot, nearly impossible to get quality sleep during the hottest part of the day with sun blasting through the curtains, open windows letting all the noise in too!

Straight away almost. 1 minute max. but I do rigorous exercise most days so doesn't durprise

Sleep deprivation not good either for the memory nor for my employer. I'll be up in 4 hrs.

Fall asleep in around the 5 to 10 minute range, it's the staying asleep that's the problem, 2 hrs is about the average before a wake up. Suffer from frequent nightmares guess that doesn't help.

The mrs will sit watching crap on netflix and complain she cant sleep.

Me, i dont fight it. If i want a nap at 4 in the afternoon ill sleep. When i am ready for bed i turn the lights out, the telly off, no music or anything and im out like a light.

I wake up like that too. Power up like somebody turned on a switch, and on with the hunt for coffee.

I dont remember dreams either.

Gues im the weirdo!

Takes me roughly half an hour, but that's with sleep meditation on. Without it, or without something boring on the telly it can be hours if at all.

B is gone within seconds.

If I’m sat on the sofa, it could be seconds, I’ll randomly drift in and out consciousness, I’ll think ‘sod it, I’ll go to bed’ then lay there for ages, wide awake.
