Has it all been going well until you spotted something? Something that’s made you question exactly how shallow you are? Is it shallow to be put off by footwear?

His choice of footwear probably wouldn't bother me. If his shoes were filthy, I would be put off that he thought it was appropriate to meet me with filthy anything.

Yes! I once met this really generally rather attractive German woman and it was all going swimmingly until I took a good look at her hands. Her fingertips were shaped like spoons and she had tiny nails like rat Claws.... I never knew hands could creep me out until that moment, now they're one of the first things I look at before proceeding!

"id be put off if he was wearing jesus sandals even more so if hes wearing socks with them"

But socks where only invented to be worn with sandals!!

It's only the fact that weirdos adopted the sock to be worn with regular footwear, it's loafer wearing oddballs who stole the Jesus creeper's sock wearing that changed history for ever.

In the year 700bc two guy's wearing sandals and socks where attacked by a gang of loafer hoodies who had cold feet from all the marching to various martyr events saw the very normal and trendy serf's with socks and sandals.

From that day onwards for the subsequent 27 centuries sandal and sock wearing has been frowned upon.

True fact

Now the wrong aftershave is critical. There was a fragrance making the rounds about 4 years ago that would induce nausea in me, it was worse than rotting bin contents.

The thread title made me laugh.

I have been put off meeting someone because their feet, they weren't, let's say, very well looked after.

I met a guy (bear in mind that it takes me ages to find guys I like) for a social last summer. As soon as I saw him I noticed them and it was already doomed. His shoes, not sure what they are called but his toes were divided up into 3 bits. I've never seen them before, and the worse thing was....they were bright fucking orange.

Well ...

'cornish pasties' are very flat sensible old mens shoes with air soles, usually in tan or a light brown. think Pavers

'shit flickers' are thin pointy mens shoes that curl up at the toe - usually worn by middle aged men with boot cut jeans (and members of romany busking bands)

desert docks aka jesus sandals are basically old school crocs, best worn by men of a certain age with beige shorts and socks pulled up to just below the knee

Hope that helps

that's because the boots cut jeans are usually half an inch too long and drag at the heel causing the denim fray
