Staying in Merthyr Tydfil tomorrow for the night with work

Anyone know if there is anything to do around there? I know there is a national park but is it worth a walk around?

I stayed at the Premier Inn there..its lovely up in the beacon beacons and I went to a gorgeous pub not for from aberdare.. But can't remember the name

Only been once, to watch a football match. Seem to remember it being a bit of a shit hole...was over a decade ago mind.

Merthyr isn't great... Cardiff is miles better and it's not like where Taff is... But if your working then it will be fine x

Merthyr Tydfil used to have the highest number of arsonists under 16, in Europe, at one time. Only ever drive past it, up over the Brecon Beacon.
