It's definitely not just men who do it.

I wouldn't entertain the idea of meeting anyone I wasn't attracted to. I'd need to see pics.

It works both ways, theres a woman near me who messaged me just saying “face?”, and she didn’t have any public pics at all and a pretty blank profile. I replied saying I wouldn’t send my face pic to a silhouette and she made out I should be grateful for getting a message.

I had banter last week with someone who point blank refused to show me their pic. Kept saying they knew me they knew they knew me all slightly bizarre

Yep... Had a guy tell me he looked like Thor, his veris also said this... I couldn't even flirt with him without seeing him for myself. He wanted to meet for a social, I told him, not without seeing his picture... Just not happening!
