When I was on this site before. I had every other weekend free of kids.

This is no longer happening & find it frustrating & difficult to meet (no help at all with kids)

How long, is too long, to expect a possible meet to wait before an actual social meet let alone a fun one!

Any advice?

It depends. I’ve spoken to people for over a year and never met them, and they’re fine with that. Some people get bored after a few days.

The right place

There isn’t just one answer to that question.

As has been said above, I’ve had ‘friends’ on here that it took me years to meet. That was mainly to do with geography.

Different people have different schedules and patience levels. I've arranged some thing months in advance with someone before. You just need to find those who don't mind waiting/talking.

I have to agree, there doesn’t have to be a rush. If a guy is too eager then they probably aren’t the right guy. Sometimes that spark that you get off someone is what is needed, and they can take time to propagate. You will find time at some point and it will all come together I hope!

Any length of time is appropriate it all depends on the circumstances and schedules that work for those concerned sometimes a quick contact chat meet might be best sometimes it could be months of chatting building up to a meet

hi OP

impatience runs rife with some people on here and think we can meet at a drop of a hat! This is not the case.

If someone is interested and I mean really keen to meet they will wait!

Geography, the will travel people, well if it is withing their radius, I though will not travel 300 plus miles to be then let down because how can we know that at last minute they pull out? I have to have chatted to someone for ages not on a one text message or a whim and he needs to keep it interesting or the novelty wares off!

Having kids, and no help sure if they really want to meet they will wait like I said. I have trouble with getting time as most of the time I am working, same for a lot of people and arranging times is always difficult when work clashes!

How long is a piece of string OP!

I took years out when it was no longer viable for me to meet

I had no childcare and no time on my own - I stopped. Self inflicted chastity for over three years

I don't meet as often as I'd like too. Especially now, I wish I could meet on a regular basis. But I'd wait to be with the person I really wanted to be with.

I'm more than happy to wait for somebody special. Some people want instant and some people want to get to know someone.

Different strokes for different folks

I wouldn't expect anyone to wait more than 2 weeks.
